The principal area of Ärla/Hällberga consists of Ärla School F-6 and Hällberga School F-6, located in the countryside southeast of Eskilstuna. Ärla School has about 210 students and 30 staff members. Hällberga School has 134 students and 20 staff members. At the schools, we start from the students' own interests and needs. We want to offer an environment that provides safe, happy, and curious students where both children and staff thrive. Together with students and parents, we promote students' knowledge development and encourage a lifelong desire to learn. Our educators actively work to ensure that teaching sparks engagement and meets all students' different needs while providing a safe, structured school day. To create security, we regularly work with reception and values in our classes. The student health team consists of a school nurse, counselor, school psychologist, special teacher, and special educator.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher at Ärla School, you will primarily work in a class teacher role, meaning you will have a class that you teach in all theoretical subjects. If you apply for the position at Hällberga School, there is an opportunity to swap subjects with a colleague, thus not teaching all subjects. We would like you to consider teaching science subjects. Regardless of the school, you will be a mentor for a class and follow up on students' social development. You will be part of a work team and collaborate with other class teachers.

In your role as a teacher, you will adapt your teaching based on the grade level and students' different knowledge levels and prerequisites. We also see that you are good at creating good relationships with students and parents. The role also includes planning, implementing, and following up on teaching, and you will work according to the applicable curriculum.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a pedagogical degree and teaching certification with authorization to teach at the middle school level. Alternatively, you may have ongoing education. Your authorization should preferably include the subjects of mathematics, Swedish, and English. It is highly meritorious if you have experience working with the relevant age groups and are well-versed in the curriculum (Lgr22). You have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form and feel comfortable using digital tools in your work.

We place great importance on personal qualities and see that you are a leader who can adapt your leadership style to the situation and can plan and follow up on your work. As a person, you are attentive, have good collaboration skills, and can see the whole picture of the student's school situation. You find it easy to communicate with both adults and students. We believe that you want to develop in your role as a teacher and contribute to the school's continued development. You are an engaged employee who can build trust and listen to various needs.
